These photo's were taken in South Africa in June which is the beginning of winter. 

I have to read up on bee colonies as I have a few questions in my mind. Questions like:

Why do they fly now at this time of the year?

How many bee's in such a swarm?

Do they feed while they are trekking?(Moving) 

How many die while on the move?

What is the temperature in the hive?

Where is the queen situated?

How do the bee at the inside handle the pressure and the weight of the other bee's on them -( get crushed mabe)

It is a personal favourite photo as I had the opportunity to get a photo. It is not something that you experience everyday.
