One of the things that is taking place in the Wildlife Industry of South Africa is that Game Breeding is becoming an important part of the Industry.

In the farming industry their is your animals that is sold as "food" and then there is your animals that is "sold" as breeders.

This same phenomena in the wildlife industry is now taking place in South Africa and that is how people start to make money.

Why do the wildlife farmers do it?

  • They get better prices for their animals
  • They focus and sell the best breeding stock
One of the aspects is that a non breeding wildlife farmer can sell to overseas hunters is trophy animals. So your trophy hunters will now have the chance to find trophy animals (at a price) and the hunting industry will be able to maintain themselves in terms of the trophy measurement activities.

Do you agree or do you not agree with what is happening? That is the question?
