In this picture you can see nature at work. When the tree died it fell over at a time and is lying on the ground. It is now decaying and will eventually disappear. It is being broken down by a variety of organisms and a whole process is taken place.
If it were removed by man for firewood it would be lost for the specific area. The minerals and nutrients will not be made available in this location. It is thus better to leave it there in order to decompose it this location.
It will feed the soil in this area and the nature cycle wil go on.
